Let Us Humbly Make More Efforts To Attend Church Humbly all of us should make great efforts to attend our local Holy Orthodox Church during Holy Great Lent, as this is a period of time to reflect upon ourselves in true repentance, and to offer God loving prayer. When we attend Church, as more Sacred Services are offered during Great Lent, we are able to witness Christ Our Lord, and to be aware of the Mother of God, prays for us, and save us by her loving prayers. Everyone of us knows that the Church is a place for healing, as we encounter the Physician of our souls Christ our true God, who is reaching out to help us, save us, and keeps us by His grace, as this in itself is a great blessing for us all! How compassionate indeed is Christ our true God, and who loves us all!
Within the Church we find the love, and the compassion of Christ Our Lord! Let us spiritually make every effort to attend the many services that the Holy Orthodox Church offers us during Holy Great Lent, plan your day to attend along with your beloved children. Let us fervently consider to go to Holy Confession, and to say the necessary prayers before Holy Communion, and to give thanks to our God for this cleansing of our souls and bodies. Above all let us remember this is a period of fasting, learn about how you should fast as what you could eat, and not to eat during the whole spiritual period of Holy Great Lent, not just the first week of Lent, and the last week, let us now begin to fast throughout Lent, if we have not started yet! Let us all walk with Christ Our Lord to Golgotha, and let us behold indeed His Glorious Holy Resurrection, also known as the Holy and Great Pascha for us all! May Christ Our Lord truly strengthen us all with His great love during Holy Great Lent, and to behold Him day by day, and thus be greatly rewarded spiritually. A blessed spiritually rewarding Holy Great Lent, and it can be truly Holy -humbly by our loving efforts! Humbly In Christ Our Lord, +Very Rev. Archimandrite Nektarios SerfesWho prays for you and with you! USA |
